Every Friday I am going to feature a woman that I adore. They exude all the qualities of an Alpha Female and I want to dig into their lives to get some nuggets of knowledge to help us all live happier, healthier lives balancing life & work.

Definition of an Alpha Female

An Alpha Female is a powerful and assertive woman. Her confidence is due to being an intelligent and intellectual problem-solver. Being an Alpha Female is a State of Mind based on choosing ambition and being proud of it. She strives for a happy and healthy work/life harmony.

Type A Alpha Females often come across as strong willed and selfish. When we stay true to our authentic selves and stay true to our mission we shine. A true Alpha Female puts the needs of herself first without sacrificing her principles or dignity. She fills up her cup or gas tank first so that she has enough energy for her friends, family, and coworkers. A true Alpha Female strives for synergy with the world around her. She wants a perfect work/life balance but knows that it requires being true to your priorities and what makes you happy. She is never complacent about striving for better and nurtures relationships with the people in her life.

Carol Elizabeth, after finding herself unhappy, un-healthy and in a failing marriage started her journey of self discovery through fitness and health. She  has since become a leader in the field of wellness, transformation work, self-love, and an energy lifter. As a successful wellness entrepreneur, certified personal trainer, nutrition consultant, network marketing professional, mother of 3, and Fitness world champion; she offers a number of personal support program of practical tools to promote sustainable health, wellness, and other that support financial freedom. Through her coaching methods, and programs, she has helped countless people connect with their ME, transform their bodies, empower their minds, gain financial independence, and fall in love with themselves and their lives.

She has been published in Oxygen Magazine, Inside Fitness Magazine, Prosper and Pie Magazine. She is also a motivational speaker who is sharing her story to inspire others. Carol has been immersed in personal development for the last 4 years and most recently has been trained privately by Rod Hariston, one of Tony Robbins head trainers. Her passion to help other extends much further than the physical side. Her desire is to allow women to see their true potential in life and harness that SPARKLE that will help them achieve anything.

How are you an Alpha Female?

I have found that standing in my own personal power is NOT about ego and all about acceptance. Thru my own personal transformation- mind, body, biz, soul I have seen that much more good comes from empowering others to see their own greatness. So by leading the way I am able to show women what can be achieved. no excuses:)

Does work/life balance exist?

That is a great question- less and less these days – but that doe snot mean it is a bad thing. When you find what you love to do it never feels like work. I have chosen to make my biz around my life so that I can be where I need to be when I need to be there for my family. It is tough to have “off” hours thought. I’m a work in progress lol

What are you most passionate about?

Helping women see their personal value and belief in themselves.

What are you daily health habits that keep your immune system boosted?

Fuel my body with natural nutrition- organic foods- cellular cleansing – exercise – lots of lemon water.

What is your weekly fitness routine like?

I love the gym… weights has re-shaped my body and I love to go. I am trying to add more yoga into the mix! I start each day with fasted cardio to wake up my cells!

How do you challenge yourself fitness wise?

I just do it to feel good… I imagine each muscle working. By competing in fitness shows at my age.. that keeps me pushing)

What are your daily habits for winding down at night and reducing stress? 

Journaling and sitting on the couch with my hubby and kids… I put away my phone or computer one hour before bed. I make a point of having a mainly stress free life in general – so the nights are easy 🙂

What are you daily/weekly nutrition habits that keep you well nourished?

I always have food prepared…  I keep it very simple, organic and fresh. I am a passionate believer in Isagenix nutritional solutions as a way to combat toxicity on our world and the fact that food supply of today is nutritionally depleted. In the last 3 years the systems have changed my health.

What are pain points of being an Alpha Female that you have to problem solve for? 

I’m constantly keeping my workaholic ways in check. I have my kid’s call me on it. Sometimes in the blink of an eye my day can go by so quickly. I have to schedule things so that I can be there with my kid’s. I have to say no to things and not be there 24/7 for others and not my family.

What is your definition of happiness?

Living how you want to live. Not needing other’s approval of you. Seeing how powerful you are. Smiling. Sparkling. Feeling fulfilled, knowing my kids know they are loved and my priority, knowing that my husband is my best friend and making each day amazing no matter what.
