Spring Smoothies

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post. I received product from Natural Delights at no cost.

During the massive house renovation we’re undertaking we moved in with my parents who live a few minutes away from us. While I brought my juicer and Vitamix, for some reason, I haven’t used my Vitamix as much as I thought I would. I miss smoothies so I’m bringing them back with 2 key smoothie recipes I love.

I usually use Almond Milk but only had Coconut Beverage on hand the other morning. Choose the non-dairy milk of your choice!

I usually use honey or maple syrup as a sweetener in my shakes but I’m loving that dates are low glycemic so they won’t spike my blood sugar and are giving me ample sources of potassium post workout.

I’m also am trying this Vanilla Coffee and Medjool Date Protein Shake and it’s utterly delicious.

I have so many dates on hand. Thank you Natural Delights that I’m actually really excited to try dates as fuel for trail running too! I know a ton of friends who do this and swear by it so I’m excited to trial and error and see how my body reacts to it as fuel. I’m thinking of making this Date Power Ball recipe for long runs as well.

Do you use dates as nature’s energy source?
